Benita Joy

Benita is the Founder and Owner of the Toronto Relationship Clinic (TRC), a growing collective of independent practitioners who are antioppressive, decolonial, and abolitionist in orientation. With a background in Social Service Work, a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and 15 years of experience in Forensic Psychotherapy, Benita is skilled at working with folks from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. She started her private practice in 2017 providing psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, families, groups, and organizations. She also provides assessments and reports for therapeutic, forensic, medico-legal, immigration, human rights tribunals, and psychiatric purposes. She is a systems-oriented, culturally responsive, emotionally attuned, relational psychotherapist with a proven ability to connect authentically and facilitate collaborative dialogue toward meaningful change.

Vidya Arora is a racialized Individual and Couple Therapist who specializes in grief counselling, intergenerational trauma, setting boundaries, and issues affecting South Asian diaspora folks, especially women.

Vidya is an Individual and Couple Therapist who is passionate about helping people understand and access their innate capacity to heal. She believes that every individual has a unique journey to healing. Whether you are navigating life changes, experiencing a loss, or coping with anxiety, she is honoured to walk with you throughout your journey, and toward the path of healing.

As a Registered Social Worker, she offers a safe space for collaborative and compassionate conversations that draw on your unique story. She offers a person-centered approach to therapy that meets you where you are. You will work together through supportive discussions, working with psycho-educational tools, setting attainable goals, and navigating each stage of your journey with both holistic and individualistic perspectives.

In her free time, Vidya enjoys spending time in her garden or reading a good book. She is often accompanied by her fluffy co-therapist, the inquisitive yorkiepoo, Bentley!

Tanvi Yenna, a racialized psychotherapist: survivors of violence, complex trauma, family dysfunction, anxiety, depression, coping with life transitions, LGBTQ+ identity exploration, relationship difficulties for both individuals & couples.

Tanvi Yenna

Tanvi is an Individual and Couple Therapist who believes in the power of individual and community healing and the necessity of feeling connected to others in the healing process. She has experience working with a variety of identities and gears her practice towards people who are often let down and frustrated by the mental healthcare system. She prioritizes creating a strong foundational relationship in order for therapy to feel helpful and supportive.

Tanvi is a Registered Social Worker with eight years of experience in the social work field. She has primarily worked with survivors of violence, specifically sexual and domestic assault response and prevention. Tanvi uses a variety of tools to create a non-judgmental environment for folks to share their story and fully feel their feelings.

To relax in the warmer months, Tanvi enjoys swimming in Lake Ontario and discovering the outdoors. When it's cold outside, she enjoys baking sweet treats for her friends and thrifting for trinkets!

SHANICE GROCIA

Shanice is the Executive Assistant here at TRC making sure things are running smoothly behind the scenes! She is dedicated to ensuring that every client feels supported and valued on their journey to improved mental health.

With a heart for helping others and a passion for building strong relationships, Shanice is known for her empathic approach and commitment to making a positive impact. Whether coordinating schedules, assisting with client needs, or lending a listening ear, she is always ready to go the extra mile.
