Who We Are

At Toronto Relationship Clinic (TRC), we are experts in sexual harm and trauma recovery. We offer trauma-focused collaborative care for survivors of sexual abuse as well as other types of complex trauma. We also provide an intensive and structured treatment program for men who have sexually offended, whether or not charges have been laid. Our comprehensive framework for addressing sexual harm through a restorative and transformative justice lens prioritizes relationship and connection in a way that is protective and empowering for survivors while providing a framework for offenders to be held accountable.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a relationally oriented, trauma-focused psychotherapist to join our clinical team. We are looking for top-notch clinicians who are passionate about mental health, trauma recovery, and transformative justice, and eager to join a growing collective. In this position, you will primarily work with individuals, couples, and families, providing general and trauma-focused psychotherapy. You may also be working with men who have perpetrated sexual harm or have been criminally charged with sexual offences, including offences against minors. This position can also include relational work with partners and families and/or survivors of sexual trauma.

Essential Duties

  • Provide 1:1 psychotherapy to clients

  • Maintain accurate, clear, and timely client records, clinical notes, and other relevant data

  • Attend weekly and/or monthly clinical and/or administrative supervision and team meetings

  • Effectively manage professional calendar and be able to prioritize and complete responsibilities efficiently and effectively

  • Contribute to organizational marketing efforts (e.g. social media, blogging, podcasts, etc.)

  • Cultivate positive and respectful relationships with fellow clinicians and staff

Qualifications

  • Registered and in good standing with a recognized regulatory body that allows the practise of psychotherapy, such as the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) - RSW or RSSW.

  • Working towards or have completed a Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy or Social Work with a preferred minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in mental health.

  • Strong ability to integrate critical analysis, problem-solving skills, and creativity with justice-oriented, client-centred care.

  • Ability to adapt and work effectively in a variety of settings, independently, collaboratively, and within diverse communities.

  • Writing, marketing, and creative skills for blog content, social media, and other projects.
